Something Red

Things are still going well with this 52 week sewing challenge I've joined. This week's challenge was to make something red. I couldn't think of anything red that I wanted to make for myself at the moment, and so I decided to make some cute little overalls for my friend's little boy.

Aren't they just adorable? However they are a little on the small size and so I've decided to keep these for a future kid and make a size up for this particular friend. This pattern is called I Dig Dungarees and is by Made By Jack's Mum.

I've got next week's item well underway as well. I'm using the same overalls/dungarees pattern but with the skirt option for another little friend of mine. I've had this fabric in my stash for quite a while now, just waiting for the perfect use and I think I've found it! This fabric actually came into my stash from my sister when she moved overseas. It is just so gorgeous that I wish I could buy more of it.

I have also just started quilting my bugs and flowers quilt. As I'm still very unsure of just how I'm going to be quilting all the different components of this particular quilt, it could still be a while away from finishing! More on that to come.

This weekend I'm off visiting my brother and his family, so probably won't get any sewing done until I get home. Check back in next week to see the finished cherry overalls and progress on my bugs and flowers.

Happy Sewing :)
