Kids’ Quilts Nearly Done
Just a short post this week to keep you up to date on how these two amazing young ladies are doing on their quilts. They both came round yesterday and Sidney also came over today. Scarlett had finished off her quilting at home and so yesterday she made all the binding for both quilts, machine sewed it on to her quilt and started hand sewing it to the back.
Having basted Sidney's quilt last time she came over, Sidney started work on her quilting, and she did not stop! She plowed on through and quilted the whole quilt over Tuesday and Wednesday, determined to get it finished before moving away at the end of the week. Once quilted, I helped Sidney to square up her quilt and then she sewed the binding on to the front, all ready for her to just hand sew it to the back at home. I was really amazed at how much she was able to achieve in just two short days.
I am very much looking forward to seeing the photos of these quilts once the binding is done and they are all finished, I will be sure to share them here also.
I am so proud of these girls and of how much they have achieved in a very short amount of time and hope they will continue exploring the world of sewing in their new home.
Happy quilting!
