Calling All Trunks!

After a few weeks off over Christmas and New Year I am back in my sewing room and am excited to share my finally completed elephant quilt which I have titled "Calling all Trunks"! I really love this quilt with so many bright and cheerful colours and of course my favourite animal. It's just so fun :)

Although the majority of this quilt was made months and months ago (as you can see in my previous posts) I only just finished it off yesterday with the free-motion quilting in the squares around each elephant.

I've quilted a different free-motion design around each elephant, gaining inspiration from each of the fabrics used. Some of the quilting I love, while some others could have definitely done with some practice before going on my quilt! The quilting doesn't show up particularly well on all of the fabrics so I'll just show some close-ups of those you can see.

I'm hoping to digitise my drawings soon so I can get this pattern written up and ready for sale. However, I have not attempted to digitise any pictures yet, so it might still take a bit of figuring out. Wish me luck!
